"Get Ready To Witness Medical History" - Were Steve Courson's Words to His Doctor - As He Is A Testiment Of How Diet And Nutrition Saved His Life And Pulled Him Off The Heart Transplant List
This site has been created to guide our patients and the world to the highest level of health possible. The picture to the left is myself with Steve Courson, who played on the Superbowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers. (I'm the smaller guy - I'm usually not called that). Then just a few years after winning the Superbowl and being named one of the strongest men in the NFL he was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy and was told he would need a heart transplant.
Steve Courson was told that he had a 50% chance of dying within the next 2 years if he didn't get a heart transplant and nearly 100% chance of dying within the next 5 years if he didn't get the transplant. Well, he was placed on the transplant list, but his chance of getting a heart wasn't real great since he would have to get one from a person with his exact tissue match that happened to be relatively his same age (in his 20's) and similiar weight (about 325+ lbs).
The chance of that was highly unlikely to happen within the next 5 years. It was a very bleak prognosis.
Well, that was until he changed his lifestyle. His cardiologists told him that he needed a transplant and if he didn't get the transplant he would die. Any other way of thinking was just false hope.
Well, guess what...... he didn't get the transplant. Instead, he changed his entire lifestyle, which primarily consisted of changing his diet, along with exercise and keeping his nerve system functioning to it's highest capacity through Chiropractic care. As he continued this program he almost miraculously began changing his entire health. His heart began regenerating, he was able to walk more and more. He actually was able to go off the heart transplant list. As he continued the program of diet and lifestyle change along with removing pressure from his nerves through chiropractic care he continued to get stronger and stronger.
A mere 18 months after beginning this program of specific structural corrective Chiropractic combined with nutritional supplementation, diet and lifestyle changes he was able to come off the heart transplant list. 24 months after starting this program he ran his first mini marathon. When Steve turned 50 years old he ran the same battery of tests that he had previously did as a Steeler and scored the same score on the Jennings Stress Test that he did as a Steeler Rookie. This was fantastic for any 50 year old let alone one that was on the heart transplant list.
Steve Courson always gave everything he possibly could to help change the health of his community and the world. In fact, Steve Courson, along with Dr. Ray Wisniewski, a world reknowned Chiropractor from Pittsburgh who is better known as the Healthcare and Nutrition Answerman regularly gave workshops and programs called "The Extreme Makeover Your Body". This was a 6 week program guiding the participants to better health - allowing the body to regenerate instead of degenerate. It is this understanding that the body and every cell is either in a state of regeneration or degeneration.

Steve Courson's doctors never gave him that heart transplant, but you could sort of say that God did - It was just done God's Way.
This is truly one of the most inspirational stories ever told !! click for more on Steve's Amazing Story
This story has a very sad note for my very good friend Steve Courson died in an extremely bizarre accident when a massive tree fell toward his dog - Steve attempted to rescue the dog out of the way and in the process was crushed by the tree. [Read the story in USA Today] Steve gave many talks, speaches and workshops in an attempt to rescue others and even his death he was attempting a rescue. [although the dog sustained many injuries, his dog has recovered - he did save his dog]. To me Steve Courson has been a real hero.
